The Track X program is a driving event at the NCM MSP. This activity takes place in an autocross-type environment, with coned gates and dedicated start and finish lines, but on the racetrack. It will be an open event, with no class structure – just run what ya brung, high-speed fun! Runs will not be timed. Participants can expect between 8-10 runs, with an average lap taking about 1:40+ seconds, and most cars reaching speeds in excess of 90 mph!
We utilize 1.7 miles of our 2 mile West Track to make a fast but technical course to either hone your driving prowess, or to give you the chance to try out the whole track thing. We encourage a social atmosphere of non-competitive learning for any and all to come out and experience this awesome facility. Expect a healthy mix of cars from Alfas to Volkswagens and everything in between!
We strongly encourage pre-registering as our last event was completely sold out, with the full 100 available slots taken. Find the registration links below. We will watch the weather and do our best to make a weather call early. Participants will have one responsibility, driving! We will not ask participants to shag cones.
The schedule will work as follows:
7:30 – Check-in/Self Tech Starts
9:15 – Check-in/Self Tech closes, Drivers meeting begins
9:45 – Parade Laps
10:00 – Open Session Starts
4:00 – Open Session Ends
Cost: $99 Per Car ($25 for an additional driver, limit one per car)
Where: NCM Motorsports Park West Track
Please check our calendar for upcoming dates.
Rules: All participants must be in a track appropriate vehicle (no Mini-Vans please!), and have a valid drivers’ license. Drivers under the age of 18 must have a guardian present to sign minor waiver. Convertibles are welcome! A helmet, close toed shoes, and long pants are required. We do have a very limited amount of rental helmets that will be available for $25 per day, but we encourage all participants to bring their own (the Corvette Museum Store has HJC helmets very competitively priced). Please be sure that your vehicle is safe for track use, no loose items, battery and wheels all tight and secured, and no leaks of any kind. Unfortunately passengers will not be allowed for speed runs.
