Tuesday evenings just got a little more exciting in Bowling Green as Trek at the Track returns for another season. The program is made possible thanks to the generosity of community partners such as Houchens Insurance Group, Grange Insurance, Bowling Green Municipal Utilities, Howard’s Cycling & Fitness, and Nat’s Outdoor Sports. Starting April 1, 2025, guests can get a little exercise while enjoying the 3.2 mile, 23-turn road course for free.

“I love taking advantage of this local gem,” says Chris Stone of Smith’s Grove, “I look forward to Tuesday evenings just because I know that I will get to bike on a fun and safe track with lots elevation changes and enough space for everyone.”

Marketing Manager, Morgan Watson echoes Stone’s excitement and adds, “We’re thrilled to have so much support and interest from the Bowling Green community and to see this program grow every year. Whether you walk, jog, run, bike, or skate, this is a place where you can enjoy your favorite forms of fitness in a safe environment.

The track features a variety of elevations changes, too, offering a dynamic surface to exercise. There are several configurations allowing guests to customize the length of their workout. Pets are welcome at the facility if they are on a leash, and owners must clean up after their animals. Roller blades and roller skates are also welcome; however, skateboarders are asked to use the skatepark downtown instead. Helmets are required. No motorized vehicles are allowed on the track during this activity. In the paddock, a large flat, paved surface is available for anyone doing speedy work.

“Spring can’t get here fast enough,” says Stone. “My family knows where to find me on Tuesday evenings. If you haven’t checked it out yet, you really should stop in.
