Due to popularity, NCM Motorsports Park will again offer free Trek at the Track nights starting this Tuesday.

“Last year was our first season to open the up track after hours for the community to take advantage of jogging, walking, skating or bicycling riding on the road course and the response was better than we could have hoped for,” said Mitch Wright, Track General Manager. “We welcomed about 100 guests each Tuesday evening, and it was all ages from babies in strollers to toddlers on tricycles, all the way up to adults with professional bicycle gear and seniors taking leisurely walks.”

The 3.15 mile paved road course (or 5k in length) offers a safe environment for the community to get some exercise. With its light elevation changes and several configurations, visitors can select a length that fits their needs. The track is also wide to provide plenty of space for both slow and fast-moving guests.

Pets are welcome at the facility if they are on a leash, and owners clean up after their animals. Roller blades and roller skates are welcome, however we ask that skateboards use the Skatepark downtown instead. Helmets are required. No motorized vehicles allowed on the track during this activity please. In the paddock, a large, flat, paved surface is available for anyone doing speed work.

Trek at the Track is offered, weather permitting:

Tuesdays from April 4 to May 30 from 5-7pm
Tuesdays from June 6 to August 29 from 5-8pm
and Tuesdays in September from 5-7pm

The facility has ample parking, and restrooms are available. Second-level viewing decks can be found on both the Holley Control Tower and Kimberlee A. Fast Pavilion. The track is located at I-65, exit 28, just off Porter Pike at 505 Grimes Road. Follow the NCM Motorsports Park on Facebook (facebook.com/motorsportspark) for any weather-related closings or other information.
