Despite winter’s chill, the thrill of driving is alive and well thanks to the Winter AutoX program that kicked off in December. With guests including leaders from Paragon Performance and YouTube sensation, Rick Conti, the program has been well received.
On January 18th, the NCM Motorsports Park hosted it’s second of three winter events that drew around 20 participants eager to put their cars to the test on the paddock, proving that cold weather is no match for a dedicated driver’s passion.
“Winter can be tough for car enthusiasts who just want to get out and drive,” said Experiential Coordinator Griff Tomlin. “Our Auto X events give them the perfect chance to shake off the cabin fever and sharpen their skills in a fun, laid-back environment.”
Participants were treated to unlimited timed runs throughout the day, allowing them to push their limits and track their progress. While there was no formal awards banquet, the competitive spirit was still high, with drivers pushing their vehicles—and themselves—to perform at their best.
One standout moment came from an unlikely contender: an older Nissan Sentra that stole the show with its fearless driver. Attacking the course with enthusiasm, the driver pushed the car to the edge, at times balancing on three wheels through tight corners. It was a thrilling reminder that performance isn’t just about horsepower—it’s about skill, precision, and a love for the sport.
The next event in the series is set for February 15th, and registration is open now. Whether you’re an experienced racer or a first-timer looking for a new challenge, Auto X is open to all.
Come join the fun and put your car—and your skills—to the test!
